TeamOCEAN
TeamOCEAN has created the first sailing racing stable for Brossard. It is composed of a fleet of 7 ships, with a team of 1O sailors and 15 partners. A 60 feet-long monohull could also be added to the fleet for the "Vendée Globe 2008".
Lead by Yvan Bourgnon, the team competes in the main sailing races (including windsurfing races, trimaran and catamaran races). A team has been set up to ensure that all the partners benefit from a presence and a visibility.
Two main dimensions of the project stand out: the wish to develop a young team and the wish to increase the number of women. Thanks to the presence of Adrien Hardy (Mini), of Thibaut Vauchel (F18) and of two fifteen-year-old catamaran skippers, the continuity of the training and the future are ensured. The arriva of Servane Escoffier (Figaro) and of Sarah Hébert (the world's number two in windsurfing) give a real touch of femininity.
Since the beginning of the adventure, Géolink has brought its support, its skills and its faultless technology to the team. Among other things, this collaboration has allowed us to develop the equipments INMARSAT and IRIDIUM which have been put in Yvan Bourgnon's trimarans. They are now high-performance and reliable equipments. |
